Shady Lane Greenhouse Session | Hayden

In late February Hayden and I made a trip to Shady Lane Greenhouse in Menomonee Falls for a greenhouse photo session. It was fantastic to get out of the Wisconsin winter and into a place full of newly planted pots. Seeing all of the green was good for the soul. We had fun finding which plants had blooms and soaked in all of the warmth of the greenhouse.

Hayden was mostly into being my little model while I checked out this location and how it would work for a session. What kills me is when I tell her to look at the camera and she says, “I AM!”, as she is staring at the floor ((face palm)). I even got my 1-year old dressed for pictures. He gave me a hard pass on cooperating for any of it ((sigh)). He did run up and down a few of the aisles, but of course it was in the wrong direction. Someday they will both cooperate at the same time to get some stellar sibling photos… right?!

Choosing a location like Shady Lane Greenhouse is such a great option for an indoor photo session in early spring. In Wisconsin, the outdoors are still pretty brown at this point in the year, so the greenhouse gives great color. Not to mention you don’t need to worry about the weather when temps can be all over the place in the spring.
